Indigenous Partnerships
Rooted in Respect.
Canadian ROOTS Farms™ is honoured to be approached by Indigenous Nations across the country seeking meaningful partnerships in food sovereignty, infrastructure development, and generational renewal.
We are building relationships.
Our approach is not transactional. It is relational, grounded in trust, and aligned with the deep principles of reconciliation, Indigenous economic sovereignty, and shared stewardship.
We believe that restoring Canada’s food sovereignty must also mean restoring Indigenous leadership in the systems that nourish the land and its people.
A Nation-to-Nation Approach
We engage with Indigenous governments as sovereign partners and co-visionaries.
Each engagement begins with respect—for land, law, language, and protocol—leading to long-term collaboration based on mutual benefit and enduring commitments.
Every Canadian ROOTS™ gigafarm is designed to include:
- Indigenous co-ownership opportunities
- Representation in governance structures
- Local employment, training, and economic returns
- Cultural, ecological, and ceremonial stewardship
No project moves forward without the interest, insight, and involvement of Indigenous partners.
This is a foundational principle—not a policy.
Why Indigenous Nations Are Approaching ROOTS
Across Canada, forward-looking Indigenous governments are choosing to engage with Canadian ROOTS Farms not because they are being asked—but because they recognize:
- A once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape critical infrastructure from day one
- A model that respects land and people, not just profit
- A team that listens, shows up, and follows protocol
- A pathway to long-term economic sovereignty—not short-term “inclusion”
This is not charity. This is capacity. And it’s being built, together.
Economic Reconciliation in Practice
ROOTS Farms is not about building greenhouses. It is about building generational economic engines. Through joint ventures, shared land stewardship, training programs, and cultural protocols, we aim to help build long-term prosperity that aligns with Nation-specific goals and values.
We do not extract value. We root it in place. Together.
Traditional Knowledge Meets Future Tools
We honour the fact that Indigenous Peoples have stewarded these lands for millennia. Our mission is to integrate Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) with the precision and power of controlled-environment systems—combining ancient wisdom with modern tools to regenerate land, water, and life.
We welcome ceremonies, guidance, and teachings that shape the environmental, cultural, and spiritual DNA of every ROOTS Farm.
An Open Invitation
If you are a First Nation leader, Elder, community member, or knowledge holder, and you see alignment with your Nation’s goals, we welcome the opportunity to meet.
